2010 Election

With corruption and power playing taking over Washington D.C the American people must stand up and make their vote count in the 2010 election. The two key races that showed that Americans are standing up for their rights in 2009 were New Jersey and Virginia. These two elections sounded an alarm that there can be change made at the voting booths.

Regardless of a party platform, there are a great many people in Congress that need to be removed and the American people can make that happen at the voting booths in 2010. The House of Representatives and the Senate both are working against Americans taking our Constitution and literally stomping on it. They do not represent the people nor do they care that many people are angry and want to see change. Are these representatives trying to initiate their socialist values by forcing Americans to swallow a bitter pill? That question remains unanswered but the scales keep leaning towards socialism.

President Obama spoke on change and ran his entire campaign on change and hope was the feeling in the air. Today Americans can clearly see the only hope that is clear is the hope that Americans can afford to feed their families as this government continues to spend like there is no tomorrow and builds the nations deficit so high that generations to come will never be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Pushing the cap and trade legislation and trying to instill green initiatives that look more like a fairy tale when other major countries want nothing to do with the green takeover. Forcing Americans to pay more for utilities and with the job loss and the unemployment statistics still rising, will be unable to even heat or cool their homes. Reforming healthcare is another of their fantastic ideas but in reality will cost average Americans so much money they will not be able to afford the forced mandate that they must carry coverage. If an American family cannot afford health coverage today how will they be able to afford it in 2013 when it is mandated they must have it or be fined? Every representative in Congress is thinking more about lining their pockets and finding more power to ensure their ability to hold control over Americans. The time is now for all Americans to stand up and say no more to these corrupt politicians.

Nancy Pelosi, one of the richest politicians in Washington wants more and more control and has no idea what an average American goes through on a day to day basis trying to pay for basic needs. Owning a vineyard in California and her husband being well invested and earning millions of dollars and still she uses tax payer money to commute between her home and Washington D.C. because she feels she has a right to demand the Air Force shuttle her around. She is one example of the out of touch politicians that touch our lives daily and leave Americans with more taxes, less money to live on and more interference from government. In 2010 she will be up for reelection and it will be time for the people of her district to take a look at other candidates that could be a fresh face in Congress. She has a challenger named John Dennis that will be after her seat. Hopefully enough people in San Francisco will be ready for a change and able to show Congress that change can happen at the voting booth.

Barney Frank is another politician that has caused more harm than good with his public service and needs to be replaced. It is time for his district to stand up and send him packing during the next election. His boyfriend was arrested for marijuana use and Frank was there during the arrest. Of course, he states he knew nothing about it, but how can you have a close relationship with a person and not know they use illegal drugs? His bad politics and non representation of the people is part of the reason Americans are living with a recession. Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae and the unread stimulus debacle are part of his power trip.

Harry Reid is also another politician that is part of the problem with no real solution only looking out for his interests and not the good of the people he represents. His district should tell him goodbye during next years election. He allowed the stimulus bill to shuttle through the Senate knowing it had not been read. Christopher Dodd is another corrupt Senator that does not feel he needs to pay taxes but has no trouble with Americans having to foot the bills of all the government spending. Politicians like these need to be sent home and put to the curb. There must be other people that can have a shot at trying to do right by the American people.

If all Americans show their disgust with these people at the voting booths in 2010 there will be real change that we can have a say with and show the rest of the politicians they will be next if they do not hold Americans best interests at heart. The 2010 election should be Americans first step in cleaning up Washington D. C. and making our politicians accountable for their actions.
